My Very Own Blanket Project – Our Club Made 100 Tie Blankets
Even in the colder months and recent weather, our members have found ways to Serve!Under the Lions Club District OH 7 My Very Own Blanket project, our club made 100 tie blankets for Foster Kids in SE Ohio Today, we delivered to Noble and Monroe Counties Children Services 60 blankets to children in need. Morgan County Children’s Services will receive the other 40 blankets, as our other Washington County Lions Clubs (Beverly Lions) serviced the Washington County Children Services needs. 2023 Bridge of Heroes Link to Purchasing Sponsorships: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/copy-of-bridge-of-heroes-tickets-534119484757 Flag sponsorships are now on sale for the 2023 Bridge of Heroes The Bridge of Heroes project was established to honor our community’s military veterans and service members. The flags are displayed on the Putnam Street bridge in Marietta during the weeks of Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day. Community members are invited to sponsor a flag in honor or memory of their favorite veteran. Sponsorships for the 2023 Bridge of Heroes are $100 and include all three holidays. January 27, 2023 Meeting
Today, we had a wonderful program from Marietta Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Diabetes Education Specialist. We learned all about the different programs and how we might be able to partner with them in service in the future! We were also able to present them 20 tie blankets for the Sweet and Sour Diabetes Youth Support Group, as well as their Pediatric Care Group.
