2026 Lion of the Year Awards

Yesterday, we had the chance to get together and celebrate our 2026 Lions Year! President Peggy Byers handed off the gavel to incoming President Bob Hadfield. December 12, 2025 Meeting with Blessing Birds

Today we were visited by Blessing Birds President Sarah Lou Miller and Vice President Lauren Allen. We were able to bless them a little for their recent Santa Shop work, by helping to sponsor $750 worth of kids. Then, our Tail Twister put together a fun string draw game where some members will have their hot cocoa made by Root 60 Coffee and the rest got a peppermint spoon for their at home coffee. A little holiday cheer for this year’s last meeting!

Flags Will Fly High on Patriot’s Day September 11

Starting the year off right with service!  Today members of our club helped pack 100 Cake Kits for our local food pantries – to help us celebrate 100 years of service to the Marietta area! Each  kit contained:1 cake pan1 cake mix1 can of frosting1 can of sodaThe addition of soda made the cake mix complete, so a recipient didn’t need eggs, oil, or milk! 50 kits were given to GOSPEL MISSION FOOD PANTRY and 50 to the Greater Marietta Community Food Pantry. #WeServe

“Falling into Service” for Eve

Lions all across Ohio are “Falling into Service” this week by dedicating themselves to a project. Our project is a product drive for EVE, Incorporated, to help their clients, ahead of their presentation/update at our meeting next Friday. We’d welcome any donations you have for them! On top of that, as a service club, we’re always finding projects to work on! We’re currently collecting soft plastic (plastic shopping bags, bubble wrap, and wrapping that comes around a case of water/toilet paper/etc.) until we earn a bench after collecting 500 lbs.
