Board Meeting January 4, 2023
- We have 2 months left on our collection of soft plastics, to receive a Trex bench! We need 128.5 lbs to get to our goal of 500 lbs collected.
- Please report your service hours you have put in, making our tie blankets! I know it took my mom and I 1.5 for one, 40 minutes, and then 25 minutes, for a total of 2.5 hours each – so I am reporting 5 hours toward that project for our club (and adding it with all the other effort including the delivery). Please get those numbers and blankets in so we can make the final donations!
- We need all registrations for the convention by next Friday, 1/13. I will put together our total list for the district and submit it, and I will work with Peggy to ensure that you get your total, to send in your money into the club as she will send one check on the club’s behalf based on the total registrations.
- It was voted on that we will (the club admin account) pay $40 of the registration of all attendees. Please see the registration form attached.
- Delegates for our club will be: Greg, Bob B., Jennifer, Peggy, and Becca (the executive team all volunteered and make the logical sense as we usually have our board members fill this delegate role to vote).
- To register for the convention hotel, please call and talk to the front desk, DO NOT USE THE RESERVATIONS OPTION WHEN YOU CALL. They state the hotel is booked, when in reality, the rooms are blocked for convention. Please see the attached registration form for hotel information.
- Attached is the ad we did place in the convention program
- We are going with a buffet! Starting on 1/13, our lunch costs are increasing to $13 each, due to inflation. This is something all of the meetings (including Rotary) are seeing, as an increase. But, we are bringing back the buffet and will be donating any extra meals we might have to various charities (Gospel Mission, Eve Inc., etc.)
- We voted to award 2 – $1,500 scholarships this year to two Marietta HS seniors who are either going onto college or a trade program!
- We did unfortunately drop a member from our roster – Lexi (Ash) Feldner, in good standing. She is taking this opportunity to focus on the adorable Collins Kate, and continue to enjoy and build her family. We hope to see her back in the future!
- See you Saturday morning to help with the gazebo decorations tear down at 10a.
