Service Chair Report: Lion Sh. Stormes
My Very Own Blanket District Project – Lion Sh. Stormes said Lion R. Ferguson would be taking the last of the blankets to McConnellsville, so they will all be distributed as of this week.
EVE Work Day Update – Lion Sh. Stormes doesn’t have an update, but Lion C. Archer volunteered to gather more info during the Good of the Order section because she works there.
Roadside Cleanup – Lion K. Burnworth thanked those who came out to help on March 22nd and said it was nice to have Utah DG Thomas Gilmore join us for cleanup and breakfast after. The 2nd cleanup will be late May/early June, so stay tuned for a date.
Earth Day Event – Lion S. Marshall said she had some volunteers that helped her tie string on pine cones just before the board meeting and has all of the supplies and volunteers she needs for this event.
2nd VP Report: Lion B. Hadfield
Bridge of Heroes Update: Lion B. Hadfield said we have 41 flags sponsored so far and 13 corporate sponsors. The goal for 2025 is to break 200 flags sold (we did 167 in 2024 and 150 in 2023). Please keep soliciting for sponsorships. The trailer wrap design is approved and will be installed soon. We are reaching out to Pioneer Pipe to see if they have time to make flag racks for the trailers, if not, we’ll build ourselves with wood. There will be a maintenance day in May (date tbd) and we do have plenty of replacement brackets and poles for the 2025 year.
The Bridge of Heroes 2024 Corporate Sponsor Appreciation Lunch will be held at our 4/25 lunch meeting. Please plan to attend.
Father’s Day Car Show: Lion B. Hadfield said Lion S. McCarthy didn’t provide an update.
Golf Outing: Lion B. Hadflield said we need a chair for this fundraiser. Lion R. Burnworth said it’s the law of diminishing returns—it’s just not worth the time and effort for the small amount of money we raise. We always have plenty of volunteers but the golf outing market is so saturated that we find ourselves begging for teams even a week before the event and don’t get enough to close the course. Lion L. Hawn made a motion to no longer do the golf outing. Lion B. Burnworth seconded the motion and the motion passed. Lion K. Burnworth will notify Oxbow Golf Course that we do not need the August 9th date reserved anymore.
1st VP Report: Lion P. Byers
Sight saving 2 Applications, 2 approved , 0 denied, 0 referred 0 pending. There is also 1 person she is working with DG L. Fox on regarding cataract surgery that we will sponsor as a club.

Lion B. Burnworth said he’s continued to research the free meal locations that we voted on/approved to donate to last month and was able to confirm 4 churches and got with Lion B. Byers for checks. He will get pics for socials.
Lion B. Burnworth said the transformation has begun on the Marietta Noon Lions baseball practice field. The sign will look similar to the new Root 60 coffee shop sign as far as cut metal material. He said it looks like the whole project will come in under $3,000 with all of the donations etc. He will get receipts and we’ll reimburse from that.
Membership (50) Lion J. Greene said we’re still at 50 members and we did have our first Lions social gathering at Wilkys the previous Friday. There was a good turnout, but it was a little loud. We’ll move around for the next event and hopefully the weather will be nice where it can be outside.
