Some of these will be distributed at the People’s Bank Theatre at the sponsored show. We’ll also be in the playbill for 6 months. Lion K. Burnworth, Lion R. Burnworth, Lion T. Henderson, and Lion. C. Cassidy-Archer will all go to the play next Wednesday to hand out flyers.
Lion Sh. Stormes and Lion J. Greene also decorated the tree in the park for the club last week. The picture was posted to Facebook.
Lion R. Ferguson said there is a banner hanging in the gymnasium at the high school as a result of our donation to the sports program. It looks nice.

Old Business:
Multi-Club Jeep Ride Fundraiser – Lion S. Camacho said they had a mini-meeting to determine that they’ll meet in January for more progress. The Ohio Valley Jeep club is very interested in participating and Gallipolis will help too. This event will be in the spring.
District Cheese and Sausage Sale recap – Lion J. Greene said all of the cheese has been delivered except for Lion O. Cartmell’s order. A small group of Lions will be preparing the meat/cheese trays for the teachers next Monday for delivery next week.
New Business:
District Project Fundraiser – Lion S. Camacho said this year’s District Project is raising funds for K9 Companions, which trains assistance dogs for all kinds of impairments. She said we usually donate $500 to the district project and recommends we do for this year as well. She also explained that Pilot Dogs has severed its relationship with the Lions Club and we may want to reconsider the annual donation we make to Pilot Dogs moving forward. Our check from this year hasn’t been cashed yet and we may be able to pull back that check. Lion B. Burnworth made a motion to donate $500 to the district project and to increase that donation to $1,000 if we’re able to get back our $500 Pilot Dogs check. Lion R. Burnworth seconded the motion. The motion passed. Lion S. Camacho will check with Mary Bumpus to see if we can get the check back for the Pilot Dogs donation.
Chesterhill Lions Assistance – Lion S. Camacho said that the Chesterhill Lions Club has a community building that was donated to them but that it needs some very expensive repairs and they are looking for help. They have explored several grant options without success and need about $15,000 for a new roof and other repairs. A ‘pass the hat’ at the most recent zone meeting raised $500. Chesterhill is considered a 501c3, so a donation could come out of our activities fund. They are a small community and a very active club and this is really the only community space—they rent it out for many events and hosts the community breakfasts there as well. Lion S. Camacho suggested a $500 donation. Lion B. Burnworth made a motion to donate $500 and Lion T. Henderson seconded the motion. The motion passed. Several members expressed interest in going to their community breakfast this Saturday to join them and give them the check. Lion S. Camacho will send an email to confirm they are still having the breakfast and to arrange details for a meet up at 8am at Rinks to carpool to Chesterhill.
We did Good of the order.
The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted, Secretary Lion K. Burnworth
