2023 Bridge of Heroes Link to Purchasing Sponsorships: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/copy-of-bridge-of-heroes-tickets-534119484757 Flag sponsorships are now on sale for the 2023 Bridge of Heroes The Bridge of Heroes project was established to honor our community’s military veterans and service members. The flags are displayed on the Putnam Street bridge in Marietta during the weeks of Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day. Community members are invited to sponsor a flag in honor or memory of their favorite veteran. Sponsorships for the 2023 Bridge of Heroes are $100 and include all three holidays. Stocking the Food Pantry outside the Boys and Girls Club in Marietta, OH. A pantry used mostly by homeless folks that giving them a quick meal or snack. A Noon Lions Project that Lion Pat volunteered to help keeping it stocked and maintained.

Previous Next Fun for all – Christmas Party for 2022 on January 27, 2023 Just a few photos from our traditional after-Christmas Christmas party! We enjoyed a wonderful meal provided by Hog Hollow BBQ LLC, a wine and beer tasting with selections from WineTree Vineyards Winery and Old Bridge Brewing Company, and amazing desserts from DaVinci’s Restaurant and Jeremiah’s Coffee House. This group loves to have fun. If you’re looking for a service organization with great people and a lot of heart, you should check us out!

Last night, we had the pleasure of welcoming THREE NEW MEMBERS!! Welcome to Rob & Kristi Hadfield (who joined us at the Christmas party this past Friday and last night), as well as Carla Archer (who has come to two lunches and last night)! We will have an induction for them, as well as Britani on March 1 at dinner, or at the Zone meeting coming up soon. We earned our Trex bench! But keep collecting. Today, we had a wonderful program from Marietta Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Diabetes Education Specialist. We learned all about the different programs and how we might be able to partner with them in service in the future! We were also able to present them 20 tie blankets for the Sweet and Sour Diabetes Youth Support Group, as well as their Pediatric Care Group.

We have 2 months left on our collection of soft plastics, to receive a Trex bench! We need 128.5 lbs to get to our goal of 500 lbs collected. Please report your service hours you have put in, making our tie blankets! I know it took my mom and I 1.5 for one, 40 minutes, and then 25 minutes, for a total of 2.5 hours each – so I am reporting 5 hours toward that project for our club (and adding it with all the other effort including the delivery).
