Thank you to Kara Niswonger from the The Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County for sharing about the exciting updates they have coming up to serve our local youth! Kara was also kind enough to share with us her experiences as a recipient of two Canine Companions graduates, who assist with both physical and other types of support. Our Lions Club recently supported the Lions District 13 OH7 project with a $1,000 to help raise money for “Hope”, who is being trained by our District Governor as a future service dog.

December 12, 2025 Meeting with Blessing Birds

Today we were visited by Blessing Birds President Sarah Lou Miller and Vice President Lauren Allen. We were able to bless them a little for their recent Santa Shop work, by helping to sponsor $750 worth of kids. Then, our Tail Twister put together a fun string draw game where some members will have their hot cocoa made by Root 60 Coffee and the rest got a peppermint spoon for their at home coffee. A little holiday cheer for this year’s last meeting!

Donation to Retired Senior Volunteer Program 2025

We recently spread some cheer to the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Washington County on December 11, 2025. They do a lot of good for so many, and any time we can partner or support their mission, we are proud to! This year, we were able to support their Coat Drive with a $500 donation!

Delivered Meat and Cheese Trays to Marietta Schools Staff December 10, 2025

We are both naughty and nice during the holiday season, just ask our Grinch! Today we delivered meat and cheese trays to the hardworking staff at Marietta City Schools – Marietta, Ohio. We started this tradition a few years ago, and our members said they would be ok not seeing cheese until the new year after all the tray prep!

Helping Chesterhille Lions Club

This morning some of our members started their day off with a big Chesterhill Lions breakfast! In addition to breakfast, we also donated $500 to their club for repairs to their community building. Chesterhill Lions Clubhouse is one of the only community buildings in the area, that serves many. Chesterhill Lions are a 501(c)3 and all donations to their building improvements are considered “a blessing.”
