Our members have been serving and learning in Lancaster this weekend at our Lions Club District OH 7 Convention. Our Zone Chair and Past President Becca Smeby-Johnson was awarded a Council of Governors Award for her amazing work as Zone Chair this year. Lion Sara was given a Kindness Award – and gladly accepted the Big Cheese Award for our Club. Additionally, our club was awarded many recognitions for our service, giving, and dedication to Lionism.

December 13, 2024 -Marietta Noon Lions have been busy elfing at recent meetings for the holidays. Last week, at the board meeting, we signed 500 cards for the Armed Forces Retirement Homes in both Washington DC and Gulfport, MS. We were honored to have Ron Stalnaker from the Blennerhassett Chapter of Trout Unlimited speak to us today at our lunch meeting. His speech was so engaging that we forgot to take a picture! What he and his organization are doing to help preserve our watersheds and streams is nothing short of extraordinary. One of the Lions pillars is Environment so this was a great way to hear how other groups are doing their part.
