We celebrated Christmas in July today with Marietta Main Street and had GoPacks join us! We support in community in a variety of ways, including partnerships that focus in our service areas, like hunger!

Lion Kristi Hadfield is Hero Twice Over
Our club is a service club – and our members often epitomize our motto of: We Serve! Thank you Kristi, one of our new members, for having such a giving heart!A hero twice over: US paramedic saves lives of two people in one family. Kristi Hadfield saved John Cunningham, a military veteran, in 2016 and years later, donated a kidney to his daughter, Molly.

We have 2 months left on our collection of soft plastics, to receive a Trex bench! We need 128.5 lbs to get to our goal of 500 lbs collected. Please report your service hours you have put in, making our tie blankets! I know it took my mom and I 1.5 for one, 40 minutes, and then 25 minutes, for a total of 2.5 hours each – so I am reporting 5 hours toward that project for our club (and adding it with all the other effort including the delivery). Today, Dec. 16, 2022, was a great way for our club to kick off our small holiday break! Lion Linda Burnworth helped us remember all the good we’ve done this year, as well as memorable programs. She also rewarded us all with memory gifts from throughout the year. She also coordinated an ugliest Christmas Sweater contest, which many participated in, including 3 dogs!
